Location

The school is held at The Elms Resort and Spa, a Destination Hotel in Excelsior Springs, MO, which is just 30 minutes from the Kansas City airport. Shuttle arrangements from the airport are the responsibility of the student and must be made in advance. Special daily rates for the school are: Single and Double rooms – $120 + tax (no refrigerator) and Standard Suites with refrigerators – additional charge $160 + tax. Call 816-630-5500 to reserve rooms and mention Midwest Porcelain Art School to receive the special rate. Special rate cut-off date is October 19, 2026.

Tuition

The cost for the four-day school includes classes, class firing, lunches, evening activities, and a special banquet dinner on Wednesday evening; total tuition cost is $495.00, with a $75.00 deposit required to sign up. The remaining balance must be sent by July 15, 2026.

Supplies

Students will furnish personal supplies (lamps, paint, etc.) and must purchase their class pieces from the china store. Teachers may have additional supplies for sale in their classroom.

Registration

Register early to reserve your place at the 2026 school. Please complete and mail the registration form to the registrar. Classroom assignments will be made by the earliest postmark. They will also be numbered by first registered if signing up after the school has distributed the new brochures. If a class is already filled, students will be assigned one of their other choices according to the next selection and so on. Although every effort will be made to give students their first or second, etc., choice of teacher, there are times when this is not possible, and the students will be placed in a class that has an opening.

A $25.00 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

No refunds will be made after September 15, 2026.
